Short version: your checklist stays on your phone, we only have your email if you give it to us, and we never sell it.

Your checklist answers

What you tap in the checklist is saved only in your own browser, so you don't lose progress if your screen locks. It isn't sent to us. Clearing your browser data, or tapping "Start over," deletes it.

Your email address

If you choose to sign up, we collect your email address to send you the printable checklist and a short series of used-car buying emails. We use an email service provider to store addresses and send those emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your email address.

Site analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics from our hosting provider to count visits and see which pages are used. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites.

Links to other sites

The checklist links to outside services, like government recall and title lookups. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under state law, and we'll honor them.

Children

BuyerSide Auto is meant for adults buying a vehicle. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
